In Pursuit of Curb Appeal

Most people spend their time dreaming up ways to improve the insides of their home. They renovate their kitchens, install new flooring, and paint the walls in vibrant colors. As far as I am concerned, however, the outside of the home is just as vital. After working for years as a landscape architect, I'm passionate about the form and function of yards, porches, decks, gardens, and other outdoor spaces. An inviting exterior welcomes guests to my home and encourages them to enjoy themselves. I decided to create a blog that would extol the virtues of curb appeal—and maybe inspire you to take your homemaking efforts outside.

3 Excellent Reasons To Hire A Contractor To Do Your Line Stripping For Your Public Parking Lot

If you own a commercial location and have a commercial parking lot, then it is going to be very important that the parking lot is setup to handle all of the traffic that it is going to receive. One great way to do this is to hire a contractor that specializes in line striping. This article is going to discuss 3 excellent reasons to consider hiring a contractor to do your line striping for your public parking lot.

Detailed Lines

When you hire a professional contractor to come and do your line stripping for you, the are going to be able to do whatever type of lines that you would like. This can be straight lines, or you can choose to go with angular lines that rotate what direction they go in, depending on the row. This is going to be of how importance in most public parking lots because it ensures that you have enough spaces for all of your employees and customers, and it also makes it so that traffic can flow in and out of the space more easily. You can also choose how wide you would like the parking spots to be, which is also going to be very important because it can help ensure that the type of guests that you have will have room to park. For example, if the commercial building on the lot is a home hardware store, you are likely going to have trucks and trailers coming in, and you are going to need large enough parking spaces to accommodate their vehicle.

Specialized Parking Spots

As part of your public parking lot, you are going to want to include special parking lots for different customers and workers. For example, you are going to be required by law to have certain parking spots created for those that are handicap. These spaces are going to need specific lines and symbols placed in the middle of the parking spot so as to show that this is in fact a handicap spot. You are also going to need to have spots for police parking, and perhaps even employee parking. These can also be designated uses different lines colors and symbols on the asphalt. Lastly, fire lanes and no parking areas need to be designated to help keep your commercial location safe.
